Walker, Texas Ranger was a popular law and order television show that catapulted lead actor Chuck Norris to cultural icon status.
Walker, Texas Ranger ran for nine seasons on CBS from 1993-2001, and also found popularity in syndication.
The show reflected Norris’ conservative political views.
But now the show is being rebooted to cater to a “woke” audience of young leftists.
The new version of Walker will air on The CW, whose core audience is 18-34 and slightly leans female.
This is one of the most “progressive” demographics in the country, and the show is likely to reflect that.
Walker will be played by Jared Padalecki, who – unlike Norris, an outspoken conservative – is a liberal who’s criticized Republicans on Twitter in the past.
Also, Walker’s partner in the new series will be a woman, and his brother will be a gay conservative, but knowing The CW, the emphasis of the character will likely be on his homosexual identity and why his conservative beliefs are “wrong,” leaving him conflicted.
Liberals in Hollywood often have a cartoonish representation of what it means to be a conservative.
It's so odd how out of touch those in charge in Hollywood are, they simply think they can ram any horrible remake down our throats and it will be successful. You think they would learned their lesson by now…. guess not.
