After the recent ruining of Wrinkle in Time, which included the exploitation of the opportunity to rub the diversity agenda in the face of lovers of the original book. Now, it turns out that J.K. Rowling is trying to retroactively rewrite the Harry Potter series by telling us that Hermione was black. Or at least wasn’t necessarily white.
Maybe the author should have mentioned that during casting for those films that made her a mega millionnaire. Except that, oh, wait: PC casting for racial diversity wasn’t all the rage back at the turn of the century. Back then she sure wasn’t showing any qualms of social conscious when signing off on that cast of cute little white kids. What a pathetic opportunist.
Hell, she’s a talented writer with a touch of gold (as long as the books are published under the Rowling name), why doesn’t she write some great, classic stories about black kids or whatever group she thinks she so dreadfully underrepresented in the Potter series? Instead of retroactively trying to redeem her progressive cred by rewriting literary history?
