I love Real-Time Strategy, and I'm sad that there aren't many new RTS games being released. I remember the amazement I felt as a kid on my first time playing the demo of Starcraft. It was amazing, and I could sit there for hours thinking of different ways to win.
Fast foward past the Command and Conquers, Dawn of Wars, Company of Heroes, and Total Wars, and it seems that for every 10,000 video games made, maybe just one might be an RTS game. Sad. That's why before even getting through the trailer of "Iron Harvest", I had the premium version in my cart and pre-orderded. Yes, I paid $70, just to motivate the developer to make more RTS games.
Before getting into the woke parts of the game, I'd like to get into the storytelling and art, which is where the game excells in my opinion. The storytelling and mission-story integration is up there with Starcraft II in my opinion, maybe even better. From the tutorial, the game does a great job of smoothly guiding you through what you're doing and why. Apart from this, the artwork is beautiful. every map feels like a genuine town in 1920s Europe. When you zoom in, you can even see works of art, like detailed statues and paintings. That with the building architecture lets you know that the game was a labor of love.
With that being said, here are the woke ratings for this game:
Woke Ratings:
Gay Characters: Nope! A+
Tranny Characters: No Sir! A+
Main Character is a Female who isn't really hot, and is stronger than all the men: Yes. F
2nd Main Character is a hot female, but she too is stronger than all the men: Yes. C+
Room in the story for the main characters to turn into lesbians? Yes. D
Considering the garbage that passes for entertainment in games such as "The Last of Us II", "Iron Harvest" is great. It seems like they gave the critics enough woke with the feminism to get good ratings, but not too much where the game would be stupid to wargamers. The game is good enough to overlook the propaganda, and leaves the player feeling like he still has a soul, unlike some of these other games and movies.
I don’t really mind strong women leads, so long as they are done right.
Anna is a likable protagonist in my opinion, which is something sjw’s always get wrong.
Overall, I agree with your assessment of the game.
