Any child of the 90s probably grew up watching "Animaniacs", and likely has fond memories of Pinky and the Brain trying to take over the world. Those were the good old days! Well Hulu, in it's immeasurable wisdom, decided to re-animate this beloved comedy cartoon. Seeing it on Hulu's "New" list likely caused many hearts to skip a few beats! But Disney has recently purchased all of Fox Corporations entertainment assets, including Hulu. So cautiously I clicked "play".
Starting the show will immediately put the viewer in a state of nostalgia and reminiscing of fun childhood memories. However, that abruptly ends in the middle of the Animaniacs intro song, when they inject "…gender balanced, pronoun-neutral, and ethnically diverse!". Now the fact that they had to put that in their song immediately says that this is no longer the Animaniacs that people have come to know and love, but instead that the Animaniacs are now victims of the Alphabet Police, which have no sense of humor, and in fact kill humor. Anyone who wants to keep their fond and innocent childhood memories in their special place should avoid this reboot and just watch the originals. New shows usually ease into the woke propaganda, and chances are that if this was in the first 2:33, the rest of the show quickly goes downhill from there. I didn't bother to watch the rest, since I don't feel like being disappointed today, especially since this show is now rated pg13, which is like being Rated M in the 90s in many cases. Anyone who watches further, please feel free and leave your response in the comments section. Even as a life-long fan, once I heard the song, I did not feel like wasting any more time on this show.
